Louis Gift

Louis was born on the 1st of March, 1991 and has resided in London almost all of his life. Louis has always loved physical activity; from an early age up until fairly recently these included tennis, swimming, basketball, and fencing (became the under 11s british No.1). However, it was not until Louis discovered parkour and freerunning that he felt he had found something he was truly passionate about. Louis trained parkour and freerunning for 3 years, attending regular gymnastics classes to compliment his training, and became a skilled practitioner in the discipline. Louis’ love of performing did not become apparent until the first year of sixth form where he played at many music events, and mixed dancing acting and acrobatics onstage for musicals put on by his college. Not wanting to go to conventional university, but rather, wanting to utilise the skills he had acquired, Louis searched for ways to achieve this and came across The Circus Space.
Louis is now in his third year at circus space, specialising as a hand to hand base, where he has been able to hone the skills he already has, and acquire new ones. This combination of revised old skills and fresh new ones, infused with his musicality and natural rhythm has allowed Louis to develop into a creative, dynamic, and original performer. The diversity of his skill set allows Louis to apply himself to almost any situation, be it choreographic, musical, divisive, theatrical, or academic.
